A north Edmonton bus shelter became the scene of heartbreak when a speeding motorcycle jumped the curb and struck a group of people waiting for transit near 97 Street and 120th Avenue.
Anjrel Standinghorn-Morin, a 21-year-old Indigenous father, was killed at the scene.
His 18-year-old partner suffered serious injuries, while their 10-month-old son was rushed to hospital with potentially life-threatening wounds.
A 46-year-old bystander was also seriously hurt.
Police allege an 18-year-old motorcyclist was street racing a BMW when he lost control and plowed into the shelter.
He now faces charges of dangerous operation causing death and multiple counts of dangerous operation causing bodily harm.
