Touring musicians visiting Edmonton can now access a range of accommodations and support tailored to their unique needs.

Emily Bachynski, a veteran performer with Bad Buddy, founded a special “band hotel,” featuring private rooms and essential amenities designed to offer traveling artists both comfort and dignity, something standard hotels often lack.

The Commercial Hotel/Blues on Whyte in Old Strathcona remains a musician favorite with 63 rooms, cable TV, Wi-Fi, and direct access to the city’s live music scene.

The boutique Varscona Hotel on Whyte provides free Wi-Fi, hot breakfast, and proximity to Edmonton’s top entertainment, while the HI Edmonton Hostel gives budget-conscious performers a modern, communal option near Whyte Avenue and downtown venues.

Organizations like the Arts Touring Alliance of Alberta and the Prairie Song Alliance further empower touring musicians by offering networking, programs, and local support, creating a welcoming environment for the city’s vibrant music visitors.
