The Peter Hemingway Aquatic Centre has reopened after years of extensive rehabilitation, warmly welcoming Edmontonians back to an iconic community hub.

First opened in 1971, the upgraded facility now features modernized mechanical, structural, and electrical systems to support future generations.

Among its new highlights is a cold plunge pool, already drawing rave reviews for its revitalizing effect on visitors.

In tandem, the launch of the Coronation Park Sports and Recreation Centre next door transforms the area into a unique fitness hub in central-north Edmonton.

This integrated site now hosts North America’s first indoor triathlon training centre, complete with a 50-metre pool, a 333-metre indoor track, and a 250-metre cycling loop.

Significant upgrades also make the venue sustainable and accessible, featuring barrier-free entry and an elevator, while pushing for LEED® certification.

Residents are invited to experience new programs and celebrate a fresh chapter in local recreation.
