Lets review!

Our featured story

In the news this week

Edmonton Unlimited has announced the launch of its Deep Tech Foundry โ€” a highly specialized startup program designed to help science and engineering founders turn research breakthroughs into fundable, scalable companies.

Unlike conventional accelerators, this program is built around action over theory โ€” rapid iteration, real market evidence, and decisions made at speed.

Accepting between eight and twelve vetted companies per cohort, the program prioritizes Edmonton-based ventures, with limited spots open to qualifying Alberta startups.

The first cohort begins in 2027.

There is no tuition and no equity ask โ€” but full commitment is mandatory.

Founders will work alongside experienced practitioners and investors across sectors including AI, energy technology, advanced materials, health sciences, and robotics.

Edmonton's deep research base โ€” anchored by the University of Alberta and the Alberta Machine Intelligence Institute โ€” gives the program a natural foundation.

The Deep Tech Foundry is Edmonton's clearest signal yet that it is building the machinery to turn world-class science into globally competitive companies.
